Dubai South, formerly known as Dubai World Central, is a 145 km area located near Al Maktoum International Airport. This district is intended to become the flagship of Dubai’s urban development, and will be used to build other areas of the city. Today, Dubai South comprises hundreds of residential, commercial, office and retail properties. This area is suitable for all types of people with different lifestyles as it strives to create a comfortable and peaceful living environment for all. Dubai South has direct access to the Etihad Rail network, Al Maktoum International Airport and Palm Jebel Ali Port, and offers convenient transport links to many other areas of Dubai. Its proximity to Expo Road and Emirates Road makes it easy to reach any part of Dubai without having to deal with traffic jams. Currently, there is no metro station in Dubai South, however, there are plans to connect Nakheel Harbour & Tower station and the Expo 2020 site with the Red Line. Dubai South has a rapid transit system that runs throughout the city, serving both the eastern and western parts of the region, and a comprehensive and integrated road network provides easy access to different areas of the city.
